HanStories (“知故”) is a Chinese story learning app. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
When you register, we collect your name, email address, and an encrypted password. This is the minimum information needed to create your account.
Your favorites are stored locally on your device. We do not upload your learning data to our servers.
If you subscribe to Premium, Apple handles all payment processing. We do not collect or store your payment information. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status from Apple.
We do not collect device identifiers, location data, or usage analytics.
Your account information is used solely for authentication. We do not sell, share, or rent your personal information to any third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.
Your password is encrypted using industry-standard hashing before storage. Favorites are stored locally on your device. Server communication uses HTTPS encryption.
Used for subscription management. Apple’s privacy policy applies to payment processing.
We use Apple’s built-in AVSpeechSynthesizer for pronunciation. All speech processing happens on your device.
We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
